They first struck the Gold Panda Coin in 1982, just a year before releasing the Silver Panda Coin. The Chinese Gold Panda was struck in one troy ounce of 99.9% pure gold, as well as four fractional sizes (1/2, 1/4, 1/10, and 1/20 troy ounce) until 2015.   This 1/2 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coins – Random Year SKU allows customers to purchase fractional pieces of gold at a lower cost! Each of these coins are ½ troy ounce of .999 pure gold. The coin is a random year product, meaning it could be any year that the coin was minted, that being 1982-2015.
