The US Quarter Eagle Gold Coin was one of the longest-running coins from the United States Mint — circulated from 1796 to 1929. Since these coins were circulating currency, used by people for day-to-day transactions, all the gold coin specimens from that era show considerable wear and tear. However, these particular Indian Quarter Eagle Gold Coins (1908-1927) bear VF+ grades; VF+ grades are awarded to coins that retain over 75% of their original design. The Quarter Eagle Gold Coins saw five design changes during their lifetime. These coins feature the final designs that was imprinted on these coins before they were taken out of circulation. Although we promise an authentic Indian Quarter Gold Eagles with a VF+ certification, the year of mintage will vary according to our stock. Each of these Quarter Eagles has been struck between the years 1908 and 1927 by the United States Mint. Moreover, they are still legal tender coins with a $2.50 (USD) face value. As the VF grade (Very Fine) is only assigned to coins that are in good enough condition to retain 75% or more of their designs, these Indian Quarter Eagle Gold Coins will make a fine addition to coin collections. They give you a peek into the rich heritage of the United States of America with a brilliant, yet simple portrayal of a Native American chieftain on their obverses. Happy with the quality and satisfied with the purchase.
-
I like the design and that "In God We Trust" in on the reverse. I wanted a coin that was currency at some point.
The picture does not show how small the coin is in your hand.
For a low dollar amount you get a piece of history and some gold.
