Buy Pre-1935 Peace Silver Dollars Online The Silver Peace Dollar was minted by the US Mint between 1921 and 1928 and again between 1934 and 1935 and is one of the finest coins to begin a collection with and is an excellent choice for experienced 90% silver stackers. Every peace dollar includes.7734 troy ounces of silver and is usually at a reduced premium over the spot silver price compared to Morgan Dollars. The brief mintage run, appealing design, and easy finish make it an exceptional option for first-time silver buyers. These coins are in about uncirculated condition and could be various dates and mints from 1922 – 1935. Peace Dollars were produced at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints. The majority of the Peace Dollars were minted in Philadelphia, with a total mintage of over 190 million of these coins. Peace Dollars minted at San Francisco or Denver will have a mintmark, while Philadelphia mint coins would not carry a mintmark. The obverse of the Peace Dollar features the designer’s wife portrayed his wife as Lady Liberty with a crown modeled after the crown on the Statue of Liberty. The word “LIBERTY” is at the top, with the year minted along the bottom. The words “IN GOD WE TRVST” are minted towards the bottom of the coin as well. The reverse of these silver coins features a regal looking bald eagle the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are minted along the top with the words “E PLURIBUS UNUM” just below. The words “ONE” & “DOLLAR” are minted on either side of the eagle and the word “PEACE” is minted at the very bottom of the coin.
