This 1/10 oz gold coin features the Polar Bear privy mark, along with the characteristic maple leaf and, for the first time, King Charles III’s effigy. The Design The 2024 Maple Leaf Coins debut the new obverse design with King Charles III, created by artist Steven Rosati’s depiction. Besides the monarch’s name on top, the engravings relate to the coin’s denomination and issuance through “5 DOLLARS 2024.” The traditional Walter Ott’s Maple Leaf reverse design is completed with “CANADA” on top and the coin’s weight, metal content, and fineness in English and French. They read: “9999 FINE GOLD 1/10 OZ OR PUR 9999.” The Polar Bear privy mark is encircled on the lower left.
